Iowa has insufficient funds from the federal government to sustain health-care services under the State Children's Health Insurance Program, or hawk-i program. hawk-i provides health insurance to children in low- to moderate-income working families who do not have other coverage. Without action in Washington, Iowa needs will go unmet.
