State and Local Taxes in Iowa

No matter how you look at it, Iowa is about average in terms of the tax obligation that state and local governments require from residents. This was the conclusion of a report by the Iowa Policy Project in February of 2003 and it is the same conclusion for a new report completed in September of 2004.
